BELDOCS
20–26 May, Belgrade
Beldocs Documentary Film Festival is one of the Balkans’ largest documentary film festivals, with over 100 films and dozens of world and regional premieres. It has four competition programs (Serbian, International, Best Short and Teen), two retrospectives, and a Country in Focus program.
RING RING
20–24 May, Belgrade
The longest-running festival of alternative, experimental, free-jazz, and improv music in Serbia, Ring Ring, has gone through various phases. Since its inception in 1996, it has been evolving in different circumstances. At times, it boasted a lavish program lasting up to seven days, while at other moments, it took a more stripped-down form. Regardless of the number of concerts, Ring Ring has always focused on high-quality, challenging, and diverse content.
IN MUSIC
22–24 June, Zagreb, Croatia
Croatia’s biggest open-air indie rock festival was founded in 2006 and has been growing stronger ever since. INmusic is hailed by NME as “the best-kept festival secret”, while Huffington Post dubbed it the “Woodstock of the 21st century”. It takes place on the islands of Lake Jarun – a green oasis in the city of Zagreb, two of which are reserved for festival campers.

ARSENAL FEST
25–27 June, Kragujevac
Arsenal Fest is held in Kragujevac, a city in central Serbia. In just a few years, the festival has established itself as one of the most exciting outdoor summer festivals in Serbia and this part of Europe. The camp is located in the Great Park in Kragujevac. GNEZDO FEST
9–12 July, Kruševac
The festival will be held on the banks of the Rasina River in Kruševac, right below the Alternative Cultural Center Gnezdo, an independent youth and contemporary culture space. During the four festival days, you can expect theater shows and performances, exhibitions, outdoor film screenings, concerts, and DJ sets under the open sky, as well as workshops for children and a sandcastle-building competition. The entrance to all the programs is free.
PULA FILM FESTIVAL
9–16 July, Pula, Croatia
The Pula Film Festival, Croatia’s oldest and most prestigious film event, was founded in 1954 as a showcase for Yugoslav cinema, making it one of Europe’s longest-running festivals. It is held in the seaside city of Pula, a UNESCO site, and the screenings are set in the ancient Roman Arena of Pula that hosts up to 50,000 visitors each year.
TAM TAM
9–18 July, Hvar, Croatia
The 14th edition of TAM TAM Music Festival will take place in Sućuraj on the easternmost part of Hvar Island. The festival is focused on the regional alternative music scene. Sućuraj, a place that counts no more than 250 inhabitants during winter, will once again transform into a hub combining indie music concerts with summer camping, creative workshops, and evening yoga classes.
